The States of Guernsey has been working closely with a number of charities in Guernsey to provide a free bespoke training tool for anyone in Guernsey to access.
The training comprises of six short modules which take about one hour to complete. You can do all the modules together or complete individually.
At the end of each session there are ten short questions and you can download a certificate at the end of the training.

The modules include:
- An introductory module
- In Types of Impairment I, you will learn about; mobility, visual, hearing and multiple impairments.
- In Types of Impairment II, you will learn about; learning disability, learning difficulty, autism and dementia.
- The Practical Advice section provides information on things you can do to assist people with a sight or hearing impairment, mobility impairment, learning disability, mental health issues or an individual with dementia.
- The Language section explains why using the correct language to describe disability is important and provides some practical tips about disability related language in conversation.
