Residential Care Homes provide support for those who are unable to live independently but need a low level of care. Nursing Care Homes provide support for those who need more nursing care. Dementia Specialist Care Homes provide specialised care for those with dementia

Visiting a care home is important and asking lots of questions to ensure the home can meet individual's care needs.

Long term care benefit is a weekly benefit which is paid towards the costs of the fees if you are in a private residential or private nursing hime. Private means not run by the States.
